What is the mission of Young Thinkers of York?

At Young Thinkers of York, we're connecting underserved students to robotics and engineering.

Young Thinkers of York is well-known in the City of York for our youth robotics programs. The organization was founded in January 2017 to address the need to help disadvantaged students excel in their academic future and increase their interest and awareness in science and technology. In three years, we have exposed more than 700 York students to STEM by providing a hands-on learning environment by using robotics as an educational tool to bring science to life.

Why is the organization excited to participate in Give Local York this year?

Young Thinkers of York likes making new connections within the community. By participating in Give Local York this year, it gives us another opportunity to show members of the community what we are doing for our young people in York. So many people know about the good work we do, but there are many who do not. Each year we add something new to offer students, and Give Local York provides that additional platform for us to meet our goals.
