What is the mission of PennCares Support Services?

PennCares is a community-based organization that provides early intervention, work opportunities, and lifelong support services, addressing the full continuum of care with dedication, skill, and a commitment to quality support and individual empowerment while promoting independence.

Why is the organization excited to participate in Give Local York this year?

PennCares is excited about participating in Give Local York because it provides many opportunities for us to exemplify the services that PennCares offers. It gives us the outlet to let people know who we are and that what we do is worthwhile to the local community of York County. We hope that those who are not familiar with our services will become aware and find out how beneficial we can be when it comes to: 1) in-home services for disabled adults and the older population; 2) early childhood intervention for disabled children; 3) employment readiness for youth and adults with disabilities, and 4) varied academic trainings for professional and family caregivers.
