Gift Wrapping Fundraiser Planned

Etown Common Sense is planning a gift wrapping fundraiser to benefit the Elizabethtown Area School District (EASD) facility dog program on Saturday, Dec. 13, from 1 to 6 p.m. at Elizabethtown Church of the Brethren, 777 S. Mount Joy St., Elizabethtown.

Participants may bring laundry baskets or bags with unwrapped gifts and drop them off at the church under the portico in a drive-through format. Extra baskets will be available.

Attendees will be asked to answer a few questions about their wrap preferences. Or, they may wrap their own presents using supplies that are provided or wait while their gifts are wrapped.

Guests can visit with the facility dogs, enjoy a hot cup of cocoa and shop for stocking stuffers and baked goods that will be available for purchase. Donations will be accepted by cash, check or credit card. All proceeds will benefit the facility dog program.

The EASD facility dog program relies on community financial support. EASD has five facility dogs, one at each of the district's schools. Over the past four years, Etown Common Sense has raised almost $10,000 for the facility dog program, supporting students, teachers and pups.
