Geyers UMC plans "Scuba" Bible school

Geyers United Methodist Church (UMC), 1605 S. Geyers Church Road, Middletown, will host a "Scuba: Diving Into Friendship With God" vacation Bible school (VBS) for children and youths age 3 through teenagers. This community event will be held from Sunday through Thursday, July 14 to 18, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Children in first grade and younger will have their own space for stories, music, crafts, games, and more.

Second-graders through teens will travel in crews to stations around the church for activities including stories, crafts, kitchen activities, science activities, and outside games. Kids can choose what crew they want to join instead of being separated into age groups.

Each evening will end with snacks.

Preregistration is not required, but parents must fill out a registration form on the first night their child attends Bible school. The church also asks that parents sign their child in and out each night to help ensure their safety.

The teachers and helpers have been cleared to work with children and youths through the UMC Safe Sanctuaries program.
