G.O.A.L. Project will present "Addiction and Family Interactions" from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 9. The event will be held at Carpenter Community Church, 378 Glenbrook Road, Leola.
The workshop will cover why family members are at an inherent disadvantage to respond to addiction in healthy and productive ways; the concept of hitting rock bottom and willpower as it relates to addiction and recovery; addiction, the brain, and biblical messages; family roles and co-dependencies; and enabling behaviors: and definition, types, and impact. The presenter will be Joel Jakubowski, men's program director at The Potter's House.
