Charles F. Snyder Funeral Homes & Crematory broke ground on Aug. 16 for its new project, its sixth funeral home location and third crematory, located in Willow Street. The new location is set to be completed and open its doors to the community in spring to summer of 2022 in the company's 75th anniversary year.

Family, friends, staff and community members recently gathered at the construction site on 2421 Willow Street Pike to witness the official beginning of the project. Members of the Snyder family and staff, project managers from Benchmark Construction, Lancaster County officials and others kicked off the ceremony by sharing their gratitude and expressing their anticipation for the new journey. Shovels in hand, the Snyder family then broke ground.
