Former Ms. Pennsylvania 2004 Maria Frisby was recently a special guest and speaker at the Walk With Scissors Cosmetology Academy in Middletown. She shared her inspirational life story and had a special tribute and moment of silence in memory of her pageant sister, the late Miss USA 2019 Cheslie Kryst, who passed away in New York in 2022.

Frisby, Kryst and Miss Universe 2019 Zozi interacted with one another during an Instagram Live session held during the COVID-19 lockdown.

Frisby graduated from Middletown Area High School; HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College; and Penn State University.
