Levato "Vetti" Thomas will be the guest speaker at the Military Oral History Club of Lancaster County's meeting on Tuesday, April 30, at 7 p.m. at VFW Post 2435, 401 Manor St., Columbia.

After becoming a registered nurse and working at York Hospital, Thomas joined the Army Cadet Nurse Corps and was transferred to the new McGuire Army Hospital in Richmond, Va. All of the patients were soldiers who were wounded in Europe. She will soon turn 100 years old.
