Food Donated To Power Packs Project

HARTZ Physical Therapy and the HARTZ Physical Therapy Charitable Foundation, the nonprofit arm of the company, recently announced that that their eighth annual "Spring Feed the Need" food drive collected nearly 900 pounds of food for children served by the Power Packs Project.

During the month of April, staff and patients at each of HARTZ PT's five locations donated specific items to be used to provide complete meal kits and recipes for children and their parents to cook on weekends. Items from pancake mix and peanut butter to pasta, canned chicken and tuna were collected.

Brian Hartz, owner of HARTZ Physical Therapy, presented the donations to Annette Rosa-Pabon, Lancaster regional director of Power Packs Project.

Power Packs Project is active in 45 schools in 13 districts in Lancaster and three school districts in Lebanon. The program's mission is to empower families with education and ingredients to create nutritious weekend meals, so their children return to school fed and ready to learn.

HARTZ Physical Therapy is a locally owned, independent outpatient physical therapy clinic which has provided Lancaster County residents with physical therapy services for 21 years. The staff of HARTZ PT is always open to partnering with community organizations in creative ways with the goal of improving the community.
