Flory Named Student of the Month

Elizabethtown Area High School (EAHS) has recognized Alana Flory as the Elizabethtown Lions Club Student of the Month for April. This honor is awarded to Lancaster County Career and Technology Center (LCCTC) students who demonstrate dedication, leadership, and commitment to their chosen career pathway.

Alana, the daughter of Matthew Flory of Palmyra and Candace Flory of Elizabethtown, is a senior enrolled in the Advanced Health Careers (AHC) program at the Mount Joy campus of LCCTC. She chose to attend the AHC program to gain a valuable head start in exploring medical career options while preparing for postsecondary education.

Throughout her time in the program, Alana has participated in a wide range of clinical experiences across multiple health care settings and specialties. These hands-on opportunities have allowed her to refine her interests and confirm her goal of pursuing a career as an ultrasound technician.

In addition to her academic work, Alana has demonstrated strong leadership and involvement within her school communities. She serves as a Student Ambassador at the Mount Joy LCCTC campus and is a member of the National Technical Honor Society. She has also contributed as a mentor to fifth-grade female students through Club Ophelia. At EAHS, Alana is the vice president of the Pep Club and an active member of the Red Cross Club.

Following graduation, Alana plans to attend HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College to pursue an associate degree and complete her ultrasound technician accreditation. She is also considering continuing her education in the future to earn a degree in occupational therapy.
