The new Lancaster Floorball Club will hold an open house on Sunday, Nov. 27, from 5 to 6 p.m. at The Volleyball Corner, 2007 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster. A free pizza party hosted by Thoze Guyz Pizzeria will take place afterward.

The event will offer an introduction to floorball, a noncontact sport for people of all ages that combines elements of field hockey, ice hockey, lacrosse, soccer, basketball, and other sports. The club will supply the equipment, including plastic hockey-type sticks, a ball similar to a Wiffle ball, and the goals; attendees should bring sneakers, shorts, and a T-shirt.

Additionally, 10 practice/game sessions will take place at The Volleyball Corner from 5 to 6 p.m. on Sundays, Dec. 4 to Feb. 26, with no sessions on Christmas, New Year's Day, and the day of the championship professional football game. Separate fees have been set per session and for a package of sessions.
