First Capital FCU Presents Donation

Kevin Linden, executive vice president of finance for First Capital Federal Credit Union (FCU), recently presented a check for $500 to Gwen Loose, executive director of the York County Rail Trail Authority.

Each year, First Capital FCU selects one charity to support each quarter. The York County Rail Trail Authority was selected as the second-quarter charity. Funds were raised through employee Jeans Days and candy bar sales at all of First Capital's branches.

The York County Rail Trail Authority is a volunteer, 10-member group formed in 1990 under the direction of the York County Board of Commissioners. The authority's mission is to enrich York County communities and countryside through the development of a network of public trails.

Additionally, on Aug. 2, First Capital FCU took part in National Night Out in the four townships/boroughs in which its branches are located. It offered various activities for children, including sand art at two locations and a ball toss and prize wheel at the other two.
