Lisa Barshinger was recently promoted to community development director for First Capital Federal Credit Union (FCU) as well as the executive director of the new FirstCap Gives Back Foundation, the charitable arm of First Capital FCU.

In 2011, Barshinger joined the First Capital FCU team as business development representative. In that role, she worked with the agency's preferred business partners to educate their employees about credit unions. Thirteen years later, Barshinger's role has grown to incorporate financial education in businesses and schools; running the FirstCap Gives Back Foundation, which includes supporting charitable endeavors with local community organizations; and organizing First Capital FCU events.

Barshinger is involved in various community organizations. She is an ambassador for the York County Economic Alliance and a member of the Women's Business Center Organization. She is a longtime volunteer for Junior Achievement and Hospice & Community Care.
