Eastern York Recreation Authority (EYRA) has posted its upcoming activities.

The Eastern York Soccer Club (EYSC), which is governed by EYRA, will accept registrations for its fall season until Sunday, April 30, at http://www.easternyorkrec.com. Programs are available for youths born in 2019 and earlier. All players need to supply a birth certificate and recent photo at the time of registration. The season will run from mid-August through early November.

Evaluations for age U9 and older players will begin on Tuesday, May 2. All practices and home games will be held at Barshinger Fields on Accomac Road in Hellam Township.

In addition, EYRA will offer three summer camps designed for students who have completed first grade through those who are entering sixth grade. All camps will be held at the Lower Windsor Township Building, 2425 Craley Road, Wrightsville. Fees will be charged for the programs. Registration is required at the aforementioned website.

"Hands-on Science" will be offered from Monday through Friday, June 12 through 16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Participants will take part in various experiments, including using charcoal to purify water, making real crystals, testing how sugary drinks impact teeth and learning how colors can affect memory. Youths will be able to ask questions, get creative and learn new skills. When the youths have completed their experiments, they will be able to play team games.

"Legos Camp" will take place from Monday, July 17, through Thursday, July 20, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Participants will use Legos to design mazes, robots, moving cars and more. They will also work together to solve challenges and compete against each other in games.

"Outside the Lines" art camp will take place from Monday, July 31, through Thursday, Aug. 3, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Students will explore art through different mediums. They will learn how to create watercolors, collages, vision boards and tissue art. Students will be asked to make at least one piece of artwork using the week's themes - foil painting and splatter painting. They will also listen to brief art lessons about famous painters and their artworks.
