Event Raises Funds For Vista Autism Services

Vista Autism Services held its 15th annual Walk for Education on Oct. 21 to support The Vista School and Vista's district-based autism support classrooms. This year's theme, "Made to Fly," celebrated the soaring successes Vista students can achieve in their educational and behavioral development.

Leading up to the event, Vista invited students, staff members, family members, and friends to register as walk participants and join a fundraising team. The funds raised, totaling more than $25,000, will go toward enhancing student spaces on campus at The Vista School in Hershey and at the Consortium Vista Education (CoVE) autism support classrooms in Carlisle.

This year's Walk for Education was combined with Vista's Community Helper Day, when the school invited community organizations, such as local law enforcement, fire and rescue, and EMS groups, to visit with students, their families, and staff members.

Headquartered in Hershey, Vista Autism Services is focused on data-driven approaches to improve the lives of individuals with autism and their families, from the time of their diagnosis through adulthood. To learn more, visit http://www.vistaautismservices.org.
