Ephrata Toastmasters Installs Officers, Welcomes Members

The Ephrata Cloister Toastmasters Club recently installed new officers for the 2025-26 year.

Gladys Thielke was installed as president at a recent meeting conducted by area director Joel Via. Other officers installed were Cornel Weber, interim president; Dana Ferber, secretary/treasurer; Jane Huston, vice president of public relations; Faith Fisher, vice president of education; and Dante Orlandi, vice president of membership.

Ephrata Toastmasters also recently welcomed new members Emma Chibwe and Ben Donahower.

Each Toastmaster's journey begins with a single speech. As members attend club meetings, they give speeches, gain feedback, and guide others to achieve their goals in a friendly, self-paced atmosphere.

Toastmasters International is a nonprofit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills. The Ephrata club is one of a worldwide network of more than 13,800 Toastmasters clubs in 150 countries with a membership that exceeds 265,000. Since 1924, Toastmasters International has helped people from diverse backgrounds become more confident speakers, communicators, and leaders.

The Ephrata Cloisters Toastmasters Club meets every second and fourth Monday at 6:15 p.m. at the Wellspan Health Pavilion in Ephrata. Interested individuals are encouraged to attend a complimentary introductory meeting. For more details, call 717-715-9234.
