Encore! Home School Productions will present "You Can't Take It With You," a new production of a classic play, at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 27, and Saturday, Sept. 28, as well as at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 29. Performances will take place at the Hershey Area Playhouse, 830 Cherry Drive, Hershey.

"You Can't Take It With You" is a comedic play about the members of the eccentric Sycamore family, who live carefree and follow their passions without worrying about money or societal norms. The story focuses on the romance between one of the Sycamore girls and a wealthy man. When both sets of parents have dinner together, both the conventional and the unconventional clash in hilarity and drama, but ultimately, love and individuality triumph over materialism, as the characters discover they should live a joyful life to the fullest, because "you can't take it with you."

Directed by Jill Panyard, the production features a cast of award-winning local young actors, including Brock Sunday as Grandpa Vanderhof and Grace Miller as Penelope Sycamore.

Encore! representatives noted that "You Can't Take It With You" is designed to captivate audience members of all ages with its thrilling, hilarious, heartwarming, and meaningful story and themes.
