The Eastern Lancaster County (ELANCO) Library, 11 Chestnut Drive, New Holland, will offer in-person browsing and a variety of virtual programs to the community. All events and activities can be found on the event calendar at http://www.elancolibrary.org.

Face masks that cover the mouth and nose are required for entry to the library for everyone over age 2. Individuals who are unable to wear a mask may utilize the no-contact self-pickup service as an alternative. For more details or to arrange for pickup, call 717-354-0525.

There is currently no seating for quiet study, research, reading, or meetings, and public access computers are currently not available. All electronic resources, including e-book and e-audiobook collections, continue to be available.

The library will offer Take and Makes during May. The final day to register is Sunday, May 2, at 11:59 p.m. Pickup for Take and Makes will be held once per month, and items must be picked up from Monday, May 10, through Saturday, May 15, at 4 p.m. Three programs will be offered: Toddler Story Time care packages for children ages 1 to 3, Preschool Story Time care packages for children ages 3 to 6, and STEM on the GO! for students in kindergarten and older. No-contact self-pickup is available by contacting Ms. Carla at cbarrows@elancolibrary.org.

Animal Crossing with Ms. Carla will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Mondays on Facebook Live and is designed for children age 10 and older. A recording will also be provided on the library's YouTube channel as well.

Two virtual story time programs will be offered. Preschool Story Time will be held on Tuesdays for children ages 3 to 6, and Toddler Thursdays will occur on Thursdays for children ages 1 to 3. Both programs will start at 10:30 a.m. on the library's Facebook page.

Outdoor Preschool Story Time will be held at 10:30 and 11 a.m. on Tuesdays. Masks are required at this in-person, outdoor event. Space is limited. Attendees should bring a blanket to sit on.

Dungeons and Dragons Club will gather virtually on Thursdays, May 6 to 27, at 6 p.m. The club is open to participants ages 10 to 19 via Zoom. Beginners are welcome. To register or for beginners who need help building a character sheet, contact cbarrows@elancolibrary.org. Registrants will receive an email with the Zoom meeting information and password before the event.

Hooks and Needles Craft Club will gather via Zoom on Monday, May 10, at 6:30 p.m. The virtual craft club is open to individuals who knit, crochet, cross stitch, sew, and more. Registration is available via the library's website or by contacting hsmith@elancolibrary.org for the invitation.

Star Wars Trivia for people of all ages will take place on Tuesday, May 11, at 6:30 p.m. Families are invited test their knowledge and have fun. The event will be livestreamed on Facebook.

Book Talk Wednesday will be held on Wednesdays, May 12 and 26, at noon. Ms. Carla will feature new books and talk about them. Videos will be uploaded on Facebook and the library's YouTube channel.
