Educational Program Posted

Bone and Joint Health Action Week and World Osteoporosis Day are held in October to raise awareness about the prevention, management, and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders, such as arthritis, back pain and spinal deformity.

A one-hour seminar, "Fit to a T," is available to teach individuals how to protect themselves from musculoskeletal disorders. This public educational program has been developed by the U.S. Bone and Joint Decade and is science-based. Dr. Tim Kauffman, a local physical therapist who helped to write the "Fit to a T" program, will give the presentation, which is designed for community groups. Each participant will receive printed materials to take home for further reading.
