EAHS Names Students of the Month

Elizabethtown Area High School (EAHS) has recognized Avery Grosh and Nick Lin as the Rotary Club Students of the Month for January. This honor celebrates students who demonstrate excellence in academics, leadership, service, and involvement within both the school and the community.

Avery is the daughter of Mark Collin and Erin Grosh of Elizabethtown. She is a member of the National Honor Society and has consistently earned a place on the honor roll. Through the school's Underclass Awards Program, she was selected by school faculty and administration to receive both the Chemistry II Award of Excellence and the President's Award for Educational Excellence. Avery has been selected multiple times for the Lancaster-Lebanon Music Educators Association County Orchestra. She has also earned various program awards in Mountain Bike Club, rugby, and tennis.

Avery has participated in Human Rights Club, Model United Nations, American Red Cross Club, Mountain Bike Club, rugby, track and field, tennis, Chamber Strings, Festival Strings, Roots and Shoots, Jump Start, and the Superintendent's Advisory Council.

Outside of school, Avery volunteers at Masonic Village.

After graduation, Avery plans to attend a postsecondary institution with an undecided major.

Nick is the son of Tao Lin and Ying Ying Ni of Elizabethtown. He is a member of the National Honor Society and has earned several academic honors, including the Bausch & Lomb Honorary Science Award presented by the University of Rochester; awards for outstanding performance in AP Macroeconomics, AP Biology, Honors Competition Science I, and 20th Century History; and the Woodmen of the World Award. Nick has also served as a Mini-THON captain.

Outside of school, Nick volunteers with Camp Ladybug.

Looking ahead, Nick plans to attend college and pursue a double major in computer science and business.
