Lancaster Cancer Center Ltd. has announced the appointment of Dr. Lena Dumasia to the board of directors of the Lancaster City and County Medical Society (LCCMS).

Dumasia joins eight directors and six officers on the board, where together they provide oversight and guidance on the organization's policies and programs and help to ensure that there are adequate resources to advance the LCCMS mission.

Dumasia is a board-certified hematologist and medical oncologist with over 16 years of experience in diagnosing and treating individuals with all forms of cancer that affect adults. She has a special interest in blood disorders and breast cancer.

She completed her residency in internal medicine at MCP Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia and St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor Hospital followed by a fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at Ascension Providence Hospital in Michigan.

Dumasia joined Lancaster Cancer Center in 2007 and lives in Lititz with her husband and their two children.
