DARC Sets Summer Camp Activities
The Downingtown Area Recreation Consortium (DARC) offers more than 100 different summer camps for children in Chester County.
DARC's most popular camps are Adventure Camps for youths ages 7 to 14, which are held on Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with extended care available. For this camp, youngsters travel by school bus to a different location each day, such as amusement parks, museums, waterparks, sports arenas, state parks, swimming pools and more.
Low-cost, high-energy playground camps are held at West Bradford, Lionville and Pickering Valley elementary schools from 9 a.m. to noon on Mondays through Thursdays. Campers enjoy outdoor time, group games and crafts.
DARC also offers camps, including boxing/Aikido (martial arts), chess, cooking, coding, golf, horsemanship, nature, running, science, tennis, theater, photography and more. Summer workouts will be offered in local parks, and music lessons will also be available in person or virtually.
