Create Columbia has announced the return of the Fall Gala. This is the fourth year for the event, which will be held on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Historic Columbia Market House, 15 S. Third St., Columbia. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Guests are encouraged to wear business casual attire or to let this year's "'50s Sock Hop" theme inspire their clothing choice.

The gala will feature live music, hors d'oeuvres, and beverages, as well as a silent auction and other fundraising activities. The Bailey Fulginiti Trio will provide the music, including current selections as well as tunes in line with the '50s theme.

Proceeds will benefit Create Columbia's Scholarship Fund. Organizers recommend purchasing tickets in advance by calling the Create Columbia event line at 223-246-7271. A limited number of tickets may be available at the door, but those who have not prepurchased tickets are advised to call to inquire about the availability of remaining tickets. This year's venue was chosen to provide ease of parking and greater access.
