John and Nancy Carter recently celebrated their 66th anniversary. They were married on April 16, 1960, at Chestnut Level Church, where they are still members.

For nearly three decades, John was the insurance agent at State Farm at the Buck. He is also a longtime member of the Southern Lancaster County Farmer-Sportsmen's Association.

Nancy served for almost 15 years as an EMT for Providence Township Ambulance Association.

The Carters have three children, seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
