Charles and Lois Hess of Pequea celebrated their 50th anniversary on Dec. 22 at a family gathering. The Hesses were married on Dec. 22, 1972, at Congregational Bible Church in Marietta by the Rev. John Hiestand.

They are the parents of Lori Lefever of Pequea.

Charles is a self-employed farmer.
