Conservancy, museum set Fall Fest

Millport Conservancy and the North Museum of Nature and Science will hold a Fall Fest on Saturday, Nov. 11, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 737 E. Millport Road, Lititz.

Activities will include archaeology, astronomy and environmental engineering activities; nature walks and nature journaling; a dig pit with archaeological treasures; pumpkin painting; face painting; a reptile mini petting zoo; nature-focused crafts; environmental science and sustainability activities for STEM Sisters; and a selfie station. Community partner organizations will also provide activities. A tasting room featuring beverages from local wineries and breweries will be open to adults.

Fall Fest marks the fourth annual collaborative event by the North Museum of Nature and Science and Millport Conservancy. Funds raised support both science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) programming at the North Museum and Millport Conservancy's efforts to sustain Lititz Run through soil erosion control, wetlands restoration and stream management. STEM programs at the North Museum include the Science and Engineering Fair, STEM Sisters, field trips, and STEM career explorations events.
