The shop will be open on First Fridays, Nov. 3 and Dec. 1. from 5 to 8 p.m.; on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Saturdays and Sundays, Nov. 4 to Dec. 17, from 10 a.m. to noon. Local author Iris Gray Dowling will greet guests and sign books on the First Fridays. Copies of her books will be available for purchase at the shop. Other items offered for sale will include handmade jewelry, seasonal decorations, ornaments and pottery.

160 Cowan Road, Parkesburg, 6:30 p.m. The topic will be "What Do I Live For Now?" GriefShare is a free support group for those who have experienced the death of a family member or friend.

Nov. 11. Veterans Day Program

Atglen Missionary Baptist Church

205 Dallas St., Atglen, 7 p.m. Featured will be a patriotic-themed chalk talk art presentation to honor local veterans. A time of refreshments and fellowship will follow the presentation. Veterans are encouraged to wear their uniforms if possible. The church is located at the corner of East Main and Dallas streets.
