Columbia High School Will Celebrate Homecoming

Seven girls will vie for the title of queen when Columbia High School celebrates homecoming. The school will play Northern Lebanon High School in the homecoming football game on Friday, Oct. 8, and a dance will be held on Saturday, Oct. 9.

The candidates for homecoming court are Kylie Aston, Morgan Bigler, Mackenzie Burke, Leah Fry, Shai Madison, Victoria Martinez and Alayna Morales.

Kylie is the daughter of Tim Aston and Crystal Aston. She will be escorted by Luke Redding. She is a member of the softball team, president of Student Council and the National Honor Society (NHS), class president and an Attollo Scholar. She was previously class historian and co-chair of the spirit committee. She also volunteers with CBAA. After graduation, she plans to attend college to major in kinesiology with the goal of becoming a physical therapist.

Morgan is the daughter of Jessie Bigler and John and Emily Gamby. She will be escorted by Collin McCarty. She is a member of the varsity volleyball team, where she is team captain, as well as the varsity basketball and softball teams. She has been named to the honor roll throughout high school. She is also an Attollo Scholar, and she plays basketball with the Lady Raiders AAU Basketball Academy. After graduation, she plans to attend college, where she intends to continue playing basketball.

Mackenzie is the daughter of Anthony and Leighann Burke. She will be escorted by Robert Footman. She plays basketball, is an Attollo Scholar and earned high honors throughout high school. After graduation, she plans to attend college to study nursing.

Leah is the daughter of Joseph Fry and Angela Noll. She will be escorted by Israel Perez. She has been a member of the softball team and is an Attollo Scholar. After graduation, she plans to attend college with the goal of becoming a nurse.

Shai is the daughter of Veena Madison. She will be escorted by Stephen Huang. She has participated in the chorus and color guard, and she is an Attollo Scholar. She currently attends Lancaster County Career and Technology Center for architectural design and plans to attend Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology to study architecture after graduation.

Victoria is the daughter of Sam Martinez and Rosie Martinez. She will be escorted by Ethan Schmitt. She is a member of the varsity softball team and was chosen to attend the all-star banquet. She is also on the volleyball team and is an Attollo Scholar. After graduation, she plans to attend college with the goal of becoming an ultrasound technician.

Alayna is the daughter of Chris Morales and Kim Morales. She will be escorted by Noe Moreta. She is president of the International Thespian Society and has been involved in theater throughout high school. She is a member of Student Council and is an Attollo Scholar. She participates in marching band, concert band and choir. She has also been involved in community cleanups. After graduation, she plans to attend college to major in education and music.
