Church to Host Speaker

Brian Wills will minister at Parkesburg Word of Faith Church, 501 Lenover Road, Parkesburg, on Sunday, June 7, during worship services at 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. The event will include prayer for those with illnesses.

In January 1987, Wills was preparing to leave for Europe to play professional tennis when he was diagnosed with Burkitt lymphoma, a rare, often fatal cancer of the lymph system. The tumor in Wills' abdomen grew from the size of a golf ball to 9 inches in diameter in three days, and Wills spent eight months at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Md. While fighting for his life, Wills prayed for healing.

Wills was healed and has since ministered at churches, at Bible schools, during crusades, at conferences, and on college campuses in the U.S. and abroad. He has been featured in Kenneth Copeland Ministries' magazine, the Believer's Voice of Victory, as well as on Pat Robertson's broadcast of "The 700 Club." He wrote a book, "Ten Hours to Live." Wills and his wife, Beth, live near Richmond, Va., and have four children.
