Pastor Michele Masteller of Freedom Life Church invites women from the community to be encouraged and refreshed at the Flourish Conference set for Friday and Saturday, Nov. 1 and 2.

In the past, the Flourish Conference was hosted at Freedom Life Church along Noble Road in Christiana, but because the church is in the process of moving its campus to a new facility, the Flourish Conference will be hosted at Smith Middle School, located at 645 Kirkwood Pike, Quarryville.  

Guest speakers for the Flourish Conference will be Tori Hammer and Miriam Fleming. Hammer oversees a team of youth pastors at Elevation Church. She has served in youth and college ministry for the past eight years, and she is passionate about the local church and helping individuals encounter the powerful presence of God.

Fleming founded the Resilient Women ministry in 2019 to empower women, and she is currently launching She Leads Strong, a mentorship cohort to help women in their faith and leadership journeys.

The Flourish Conference will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 1. Doors will open at 6 p.m. The Flourish Conference will resume on Nov. 2 at 9:30 a.m., with doors opening for breakfast treats at 8:30 a.m. Following the conclusion of the conference at noon, women are invited to enjoy an optional lunch at The Houston Cafe in Gap. The space has been rented for the ladies to enjoy a nice meal and social gathering after the event.

Another element of the annual Flourish Conference is the community service project. In continuation from years past, the Flourish Conference will raise money for five local pregnancy resource centers. Before the conference, women can pick up a baby bottle from Freedom Life Church and fill it with spare change at home or work. Ladies are also welcome to bring a donation to the conference. The money from the collection will be distributed to Love Life, Cornerstone Reproductive Health, Chester County Connect Care, A Woman's Concern and Pregnancy Resource Clinic.
