Lancaster Church of the Brethren, 1601 Sunset Ave., Lancaster, will continue its Starlight Tea Concert Series with a performance by the award-winning piano duo Mada & Hugh on Saturday, Sept. 19, at 7 p.m.

Mada & Hugh is the husband and wife team of Romanian-born pianist Mădălina-Claudia Dănilă and Korean-American pianist Hugh Sung. They have performed around the world and earned accolades, including first prize at the 2024 London International Competition and the 2023 Charleston International Competition. Their repertoire ranges from classics to their own arrangements of popular tunes.

In addition, Lancaster Church of the Brethren will focus on the global church during the morning and evening services on Sunday, Sept. 20.

In the morning, Sharon Norton, executive director of Global Mission for the Church of the Brethren, will preach in the 10:15 a.m. contemporary service in the church's Worship & Event Center and the 10:30 a.m. traditional service in the sanctuary. Her topic is "Under Their Own Vine and Fig Tree," based on Micah 4:1-5.

Norton worked in overseas missions for 27 years, including the final four years as co-administrator for Europe and Africa with the Mennonite Mission Network. Previously, she served for 14 years as a mission worker in Germany with Eastern Mennonite Missions/Mennonite Mission Network. She is a graduate of Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary and an ordained minister in the Mennonite Church. She and her husband, Steve, live in Goshen, Ind.

In addition, the Rev. Carlos "Sandy" Garcia, president of the Church of the Brethren in the Dominican Republic, will preach in the 10:15 a.m. Spanish language service in the chapel.

In the evening, the congregation will host ENGAGE: A Church of the Brethren Global Mission Gathering from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Worship & Event Center. The event will provide opportunities for worship, conversation, and learning under the theme of "United in Mission," based on Revelation 7:9.

Featured speakers will include Roger Padilla of the Church of the Brethren in Venezuela; Eric Ramirez, a member of the Church of the Brethren's Country Advisory Team for the Dominican Republic; and Rebecca Dali, co-pastor of Panther Creek Church of the Brethren in Adele, Iowa, and a leading member of Ekklesiyar Yan'uwa a Nigeria (EYN, the Church of the Brethren in Nigeria).
