Church plans Easter season event

The Christian Education Committee at Reformation Lutheran Church will hold a special event on Saturday, April 1, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for families to help children understand the events of Holy Week.

Each child will make his or her own set of Resurrection Eggs to take home. The children will hunt for the eggs, which will be filled with special items other than candy. The story book "Benjamin's Box" by Melody Carlson will be read to explain the content of each egg and how it relates to an event during Holy Week. A lunch of pizza, drinks and dessert will be served. The program will end with a short video from Phil Vischer's series "What's in the Bible?" that will summarize and reinforce what the children learned from the story and the eggs.

Families must preregister by calling 717-947-4284. Reformation Lutheran Church is part of the North American Lutheran Church and is located at 2100 Manor Ridge Drive, Lancaster.
