Church hosts "Bring a Friend to Church" Sunday

Zion Lutheran Church, 85 Brandt Blvd., Landisville, held a "Bring a Friend to Church" Sunday on Aug. 4. When registrations were complete, there were 21 guests in the congregation for the 9 am. service.

Guests and sponsors received a gift card from Landisville/Salunga's newly opened Trolley Line Coffee, located in the Brandt Business Park at the corner of Stony Battery Road and Brandt Boulevard.

Music for the service was provided by organist John Landis and cellist Jamie Smith, who presented a special selection titled "The Water Is Wide" arranged by Brent Adams.  The Rev. Timothy Seitz-Brown, pastor, delivered the message, which included a personal story about a gift he made for his mother when he was in second grade. Following the service, parishioners and guests enjoyed special refreshments and fellowship in the lobby of the church.

The next scheduled "Bring a Friend to Church" Sunday at Zion is scheduled for Nov. 3. The event will feature special music, a message and refreshments, plus a small gift for all guests.

Community members are welcome to attend services at Zion on Sundays at 9 a.m. For additional information, visit http://www.zionhempfield.net or http://www.facebook.com/ZionLutheranHempfield.
