Christ Church United Church of Christ held a groundbreaking ceremony on Sept. 13, marking the official start of an accessibility improvement project. Project partners Horst Construction and Cornerstone Design-Architects were represented at the ribbon-cutting.

The project marks a significant milestone in the church's history and reflects its continued commitment to worship, fellowship, community, and outreach. The project is designed to make the church more welcoming and accessible for people of all abilities and to ensure that all who enter the church can fully participate in worship, church activities, and ministries to the community.

The improvements include installation of an elevator providing access to all levels of the church; renovation of restrooms to create accessible, family-friendly facilities; construction of a new accessible entrance and exterior ramp; and reconfiguration of parking areas to provide additional accessible parking spaces near the new entrance. Construction has begun, and anticipated completion is in mid-December.
