Central's Jordan Enck inducted into Hall of Fame
On Feb. 25, Jordan Enck was inducted into the District III Wrestling Hall of Fame. The 2008 graduate of Manheim Central High School also attended Hofstra University. Enck finished his high school wrestling career with 131 wins, setting a school record. He was a King of the Mountain champion and tournament Outstanding Wrestler, War on the Shore champion, Times Leader Tournament champion, and two-time Manheim Holiday Tournament champion. Enck was also a two-time Lancaster-Lebanon League finalist and league champion, a four-time Sectional finalist, a two-time District III finalist, and the District III champion in 2008.
Enck qualified for the PIAA AAA state tournament three times and was the state runner-up in 2007 before capturing the state title in 2008, making him the eighth wrestler in Manheim Central history to win a PIAA championship. He was ranked first in the nation at 215 pounds. Enck won multiple state Freestyle and Greco-Roman titles and was a member of the Freestyle and Greco-Roman dual team twice. He was a two-time Fargo qualifier. As a member of the 2008 Dapper Dan team, Enck defeated Tyrell Fortune 6-3. In college, he wrestled as a starter at heavyweight his freshman year and placed second at the Colonial Athletic Association conference tournament in 2009.
Enck is also a USA Wrestling bronze medal-level coach. Today, the Manheim Central grad is the freestyle head coach at the Lancaster Alliance Wrestling Club and the assistant coach for the Greco-Roman and folkstyle wrestlers.
