Governor Dick Environmental Center, 3283 Pinch Road, Mount Gretna, will offer two special events. Programs are open to the public, but preregistration is required by contacting 717-964-3808 or governordick@hotmail.com and providing a name and phone number. Attendees should meet at the Environmental Center.

A Boating Safety Course will take place on Saturday, March 5, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Participants can earn the certificate required to operate a boat in Pennsylvania. The course is open to adults and children age 10 and up. A fee applies.

A Music by the Fireplace Bluegrass Jam will run from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 6. Individuals with a stringed instrument are encouraged to attend.
