CAP Members Recognized

The Jesse Jones Composite Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol has announced the recent promotions and awards earned by cadets and senior members. The achievements were celebrated at the group's June 1 meeting.

Cadet Airmen Grayson Dalkiewicz of York, Chase Weaver of Lititz, and Kaiden Painter of Leola were all promoted to cadet airman first class and earned the Hap Arnold Award. Cadet Airmen 1st Class Noah Hermosillo of Wrightsville and Hayden Greiner of York were promoted to cadet senior airman and earned the Mary Feik Award. Cadet Tech. Sgts. Julius Acosta of Lancaster and Nathan Williams of Morgantown were promoted to cadet master sergeant and earned Achievement 5.

Cadet Master Sgt. Anna McCamant of Lancaster was promoted to cadet senior master sergeant and earned Achievement 7. Cadet Senior Master Sgt. Thaddeus Lippincott of Lititz was promoted to cadet chief master sergeant and earned the Dr. Robert Goddard Award. Cadet Chief Master Sgt. Camden Rineer of Lancaster earned Achievement 8. Cadet Capt. Aaron Keohane of Pequea was promoted to cadet major and earned the Grover Loening Award. Cadet Maj. Judah Acosta of Lancaster earned Achievement 16.

2nd Lt. Craig Shannon of York was promoted to first lieutenant and received the Pennsylvania Wing Civil Air Patrol Safety Officer of the Year Award. Capt. Krystal Shannon of York received the Pennsylvania Wing Public Affairs Officer of the Year Award. Maj. Jerome "Pepper" Broad of Pequea received the Pennsylvania Wing Commander's Commendation Meritorious Service Award for his accomplishments and contributions within the emergency services field. Maj. Carlton "Skip" Walls of Lititz was recognized with the Pennsylvania Wing Commander's Commendation Meritorious Service Award for his accomplishments and contributions in communications and radio operations.

Jesse Jones Squadron 304 meets each Monday except holidays at 7 p.m. in the Venture Jets hangar, which is located at the Lancaster Airport near the intersection of Lititz Pike and Millport Road. Visitors are welcome.
