Brooks receives academic honors

Kayla Elizabeth Brooks of Mountville is a member of the Kutztown University (KU) women's lacrosse team, which was recognized as an Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Squad. In addition, Brooks was among the 12 members of the team who were named to the academic honor roll.

KU was one of 324 programs in the NCAA's Divisions I, II, and III as well as the NAIA to be named an IWLCA Academic Honor Squad. To qualify for the honor, team members must have posted a 3.2 grade point average or greater for the entire 2023-24 academic year. The Golden Bears recorded a 3.57 GPA. This marks the third consecutive season that KU has earned Academic Honor Squad status under head coach Kristen Nicholson.

To be eligible for the academic honor roll, student-athletes must be a junior, senior or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.
