Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance recently announced that Access Insurance Agency has earned a 2022 Make More Happen Award, which recognizes its exceptional volunteerism with Bro2Go and its commitment to making a positive community impact. The award includes an initial $5,000 donation with a chance to double the amount to $10,000 that will directly benefit Bro2Go, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing human and social services to individuals in under-served categories such as veterans, at-risk youths, low- to moderate-income families, ex-offenders and people in recovery.

The story of Access Insurance Agency and Bro2Go is currently being spotlighted on the official Make More Happen microsite at http://www.agentgiving.com/Access-Insurance-Agency, where supporters can vote to help the team reach its donation goal. If the featured story receives at least 500 votes - shares to social media and comments on the story - by Friday, Sept. 30, the donation will be increased to $10,000.

Access Insurance Agency and Bro2Go began their relationship more than four years ago when Access saw the immediate impact Bro2Go made across the Harrisburg community, especially benefiting children in need. The agency team hosts monthly events to educate children and provide them with resources to become successful young adults. Access also supports a free bowling and pizza party twice a year organized by Bro2Go for its supporters and members.

Along with changing the lives of children, Access Insurance Agency recognizes the support that the organization offers to help nonviolent ex-offenders relocate into the workforce, become new citizens and regain their confidence and self-esteem.

The $10,000 donation would allow Access Insurance Agency to add more community events to its roster to support Bro2Go's many programs, which include providing housing funds, work attire and other daily essentials to help ex-offenders re-enter society and purchasing school supplies and clothing for students.

Throughout 2022, Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance will select up to 37 independent agents nationwide for a Make More Happen Award, donating a total of up to $370,000 to the nonprofits they support. Agencies became eligible for the award by submitting an application and photos demonstrating their commitment to a specific nonprofit.
