Banners to Honor Military Members

Conestoga Volunteer Fire Company will again offer the opportunity for community members to sponsor a banner honoring a family member who is a veteran or active-duty military member. The banners will be hung in May and removed in November.

Each banner will measure 2 by 4 feet and will display a photo of the military member on each side. The banners are made of a new, more durable material. A sample banner can be viewed at the Conestoga Wagon Restaurant, 2961 Main St., Conestoga.

The fee includes layout, design, and mounting hardware. Those who have sponsored banners in the past may do so again for a discounted fee if they do not need to make any changes to the information displayed.

The old banners may be picked up at the fire hall, 3290 Main St., Conestoga, on Mondays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Space is limited. To apply for a banner, visit http://www.militarytributebanners.org and click on "Programs," then "Pennsylvania" and "Conestoga." For more details, call Rich Graham at 717-917-6500.
