Author Program Set in Lititz

Isaac Fitzgerald will visit Lititz on Monday, May 18, to celebrate his new book, "American Rambler: Walking the Trail of Johnny Appleseed." The event will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the Lititz Springs Inn, 14 E. Main St., Lititz.

The event will include a presentation by the author, a question-and-answer time, light refreshments, and time for book signings. A copy of the book is included in the ticket fee. The event is sponsored by Aaron's Books, Earth to Lititz, and the Lititz Historical Foundation.

Fitzgerald was always captivated by Johnny Appleseed, drawn by family ties to the legend, his father's larger-than-life stories, and a shared restlessness to leave home and discover what lies beyond. "American Rambler" follows Fitzgerald's year-long journey from Massachusetts to Indiana following Appleseed's path. The book blends memoir, history, and travelogue.

Fitzgerald is also the author of "Dirtbag, Massachusetts: A Confessional." He appears frequently on the "Today" show, and his writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Atlantic, and numerous other publications. He lives with his wife on the North Fork of Long Island.

Tickets are available at http://www.aaronsbooks.com. Only books purchased through Aaron's Books may be presented for signature at the event.
