The Mother/Son Superhero Bowling Event will take place on Saturday, April 24, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Clearview Bowling Lanes, 1990 W. Main St., Mount Joy. Attendees are encouraged to arrive dressed as their favorite superhero. Space is limited, and registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis. There is a fee per mother-and-son pair, with a discount for additional sons.

GEARS will host Astronomy 101 on Saturday, May 15, from 8:15 to 9:45 p.m. at Chickies Creek Day Use Area, 1467 Long Lane, Columbia. There will be a presentation that will focus on astronomy basics, and participants will learn to navigate the night sky using only their eyes. There is a cost to attend. The program is open to individuals ages 6 to 20, with a parent or guardian required for any attendee under age 16.

GEARS is organizing a Coed Kickball League. Games will be played at the Elizabethtown Community Park softball field, located between Mount Joy and Chestnut streets, on Tuesdays, June 1 to Aug. 17, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The league fee and rosters are due by Friday, May 14. Each team will play an eight-game schedule with playoffs. There is a team entry fee.
