Art Alley to showcase art, offer activities

The Center for Creative Exploration (CCE) at Pennsylvania College of Art & Design will return as a partner with the City of Lancaster to program free, make-and-go, experiential offerings as well as creative experiences for people of all ages in the newly branded Art Alley. Activities will be available on First Fridays, July 7, Aug. 4, Sept. 1, and Oct. 6.

The Art Alley is located at William Henry Place between the Lancaster City Welcome Center and Lancaster Central Market. The mission of Art Alley is to extend the First Friday experience beyond observation and into participation, and CCE will involve creative partners such as the Demuth Foundation and the Lancaster Creative Factory.

The Art Alley also seeks to create space for artists of all kinds to showcase and sell their work and talk with the wider community. Art Alley will add to the existing opportunities to do so, such as brick-and-mortar storefronts, traditional gallery spaces, and pop-up opportunities.
