AMA launches Central PA chapter

The American Marketing Association (AMA) has launched its third professional chapter in Pennsylvania and first in central Pennsylvania, with nearly 80 marketing and strategic communications professionals joining as founding members in the first four months of opening membership.

The Central Pennsylvania chapter of the American Marketing Association, or AMA of Central PA, is the first new AMA chapter to be formed in more than a decade and is the fastest-growing chapter in the nation.

The executive committee of the board consists of president Devin Langan, Langan Financial Group; president-elect Renee Tacka, York College of Pennsylvania; treasurer Tyler Quinn, Langan Financial Group; communication strategist Brett Marcy, Apollo Communications; program and events chair Matthew Caylor, Martin Communications; and membership chair Adam Warner, PA Media Group.

The other board members are David Hagenbuch, Messiah University; Ryan Hayman, Hayman Studios; Tom Kuypers, Ollie's Bargain Outlet; Cammi MacCall, MBishin Media; A.J. Merlino, Harrisburg University; Philip Petrina, McNees Wallace & Nurick; and Shaniqua Williams, Roman Empire Media Group.

The AMA of Central PA serves the professional needs of a broad and diverse array of marketing communications professionals in the southcentral region of the state. The nonprofit organization officially received its designation as a professional chapter of the AMA in April.

With a focus on offering a mix of events and programming to help the region's marketing professionals, the chapter has already held events in York and Harrisburg. The goal is to offer training, education and networking opportunities across southcentral Pennsylvania.
