Garden Spot Village, 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland, has announced upcoming events.

As a part of the Saturday Evening Concert Series, Auscultation Brass will perform on Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. in the chapel. The ensemble consists of physicians from various specialties. Donations will be accepted at the door.

Servant Stage will perform "A Christmas Carol" in the chapel on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 25 and 26, at 7 p.m. This production is a rendition of Dickens' classic holiday tale of redemption, charity and the spirit of Christmas. Admission is pay-what-you-will.

The Garden Spot Village Train Room and Wood Shop will hold open house events on Saturdays, Nov. 26 to Dec. 17, from 1:30 to 4 p.m., as well as Fridays, Dec. 23 and 30, from 1:30 to 4 p.m. In the Train Room, guests of all ages may visit the HO-gauge train layout, which includes Thomasville and the Talk With Thomas event. The O-gauge layout includes an elevated track, and both layouts provide plenty of train action complemented with heavily detailed scenery. Admission is free. In the Wood Shop, visitors may discover handcrafted wood items, including games, puzzles and wood-turned pens.

The Village Christmas Market will be held on Dec. 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., offering opportunities to purchase handmade gifts from makers from Garden Spot Village and the local area. Children may visit the Kids Christmas Market to purchase Christmas gifts for a nominal fee. The event will also include a Christmas baked goods sale; chocolate bark making demonstrations, with bark available for sale; hot cocoa making and sales; entertainment; and a silent auction of gift baskets created for people of all ages by Garden Spot Village staff and residents. Ned Bustard will read his children's book, "Saint Nicholas the Giftgiver," hourly beginning at 10:30 a.m., and he will offer printmaking workshops featuring images from his book for a fee. For a fee, families may have their photo taken with an antique tractor decorated for Christmas.
