Lancaster Bible College (LBC) has announced that its accreditation was officially reaffirmed by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). This achievement highlights the college's ongoing commitment to academic excellence, student success, and institutional integrity.

MSCHE is an institutional accreditor recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. The commission affirmed that LBC met all the commission's standards for educational quality, assessment, and continuous improvement.

Accreditation by MSCHE is intended to assure students that their degree meets high academic and operational standards. It also allows the institution to participate in federal financial aid programs. Accreditation reaffirmation is a standard part of the accreditation cycle for all MSCHE-accredited institutions. Rather than being prompted by a specific concern or issue, reaffirmation is the regular process through which colleges and universities conduct a comprehensive institutional self-study, host a peer review team, and demonstrate continued compliance with MSCHE's standards of educational quality and institutional effectiveness.

LBC conducted a comprehensive self-study from 2024 to early 2026. The self-study process invited the college to examine itself against external criteria of excellence and demonstrate its compliance with MSCHE's "Standards for Accreditation and Requirements of Affiliation (Fourteenth Edition)" and applicable federal regulatory requirements. LBC's 115-page Self-Study Report was submitted in January, followed by an on-site evaluation visit by commission representatives in March.

MSCHE reaffirmed LBC's accreditation on June 25. In its report, the MSCHE team commended LBC for several achievements, including expanding academic programs across levels; maintaining strong mission alignment of academic programs, student support services, and admissions practices; aligning strategic planning and resource allocation with institutional priorities; and displaying a strong commitment to continuous improvement through openness to feedback, readiness to learn, and willingness to recognize opportunities for growth.

LBC's reaffirmation of accreditation comes during a time of growth and accomplishment, including three years of record fall total enrollment in 2023, 2024, and 2025; the launch of several new academic programs, both on campus and online; the groundbreaking of a new Global Vision Center; and the completion of the 2023 to 2026 strategic plan.

LBC's next evaluation visit is scheduled for the 2033-34 academic year. LBC was first granted MSCHE accreditation in 1982. MSCHE is a global institutional accreditor made up of volunteer, peer-based, nonprofit members who evaluate the educational quality of more than 500 institutions of higher education.
