Rothstein Receives Athletic Honor

Samuel Rothstein of Mount Joy, a member of the Lebanon Valley College (LVC) men's indoor track and field team, was named the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Track Athlete of the Week for the week ending Feb. 8.

Rothstein recorded career-best times in both the mile and 800 meters for the Dutchmen at the Scarlet Knight Open on Feb. 6. His mile time of 4:18.04 leads the MAC this season, while his time of 1:56.91 in the 800 ranks among the conference's top times and places him in multiple regional rankings.

Rothstein has been chosen as the MAC Track Athlete of the Week twice so far this year, as he also garnered recognition from the conference on Jan. 13. The senior has received three weekly honors during his career with Lebanon Valley's men's indoor track and field team.

This is also the second straight week that a member of the Flying Dutchmen has been listed as the MAC Track Athlete of the Week, as junior Rory Lieberman earned the award on Tuesday, Feb. 3. Additionally, LVC has now won five weekly honors this winter.

Rothstein, a graduate of Donegal High School, is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in business administration and economics at LVC.
