Moores Memorial Library Posts Activities

Moores Memorial Library, 9 W. Slokom Ave., Christiana, will offer its Summer Reading Program from Saturday, June 5, to Saturday, Aug. 14. Children may sign up in the library to read in one of four categories: Read Aloud, for children birth to 4 years; Elementary, for children ages 5 to 9; Tween, for youths ages 10 to 12; or Teen, for those ages 13 to 19. Prizes for those who complete the requirements include passes for Bounce Kraze, Lancaster Barnstormers games and mini golf.

Several special events will also be part of the Summer Reading Program.

The first program will be Turtle Dance Music on Thursday, June 10, at 1:30 p.m. The program will be held outdoors, and in the case of rain, it will move to the Christiana Fire Company, 214 S. Lego Club will be held in the library on June 10 at 6 p.m.

Preschool Story Time with Miss Kim is held every Wednesday at 10 a.m. on Facebook. Anyone who missed the live story may access the link on the aforementioned website. Each week's session is posted for one week.

Young children and their families may also sign up for the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program. Materials and suggested reading lists are available at the library.
