The Lititz Garden Club will meet on Thursday, Oct. 1, at 6:30 p.m. The program will be "Invasive Plants," presented by Peggy Nepps from the Penn State Extension Master Gardener program.

Grief Stories founder Janet Christophel will share her story of love and loss on Monday, Oct. 5, at 6:30 p.m. Christophel's son, Warwick graduate Josiah Christophel, was killed in 2024.

Members of the Blanketeers will gather to create blankets of various kinds for Project Linus on Tuesdays, Oct. 6 and 20, at 2 p.m.

The Exploring & Growing Together discussion group will meet on Thursdays, Oct. 8 and 22, at 11:30 a.m.

The 1920 German silent horror film "The Golem: How He Came Into the World" will be shown on Thursday, Oct. 15, at 6 p.m. The program is open to adults, and popcorn and soda will be available.

Rizzetta's Tones will perform in concert on Saturday, Oct. 17, at 1:30 p.m. The Celtic American band's repertoire includes music from Ireland, Scotland, and the United States, drawing also from the traditions of Finland, Brazil, France, Macedonia, and other lands.

The documentary film "Welcome to Yiddishland" will be shown on Oct. 22 at 6 p.m. The film explores the international community of artists that is rediscovering and revitalizing Yiddish culture. Popcorn will be served.

Ol'-Time Mountain Folk 'n' Northeast PA Coal Mine Music will be presented on Thursday, Oct. 29, at 6:30 p.m. The interactive program features folk, bluegrass, gospel, mountain, and coal mine music, along with a display of coal mining-related items.

The Lititz Art Association will not meet in October.

The library's fall StoryWalk is "Tidy" by Emily Gravett. The StoryWalk begins to the right of the library entrance and moves counterclockwise around the library.

Backyard Story Times will be held on Wednesdays at 11:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. and on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. through Oct. 22. The program will take place outdoors at the Veterans Honor Park, weather permitting, and registration is required weekly.

Backyard Story Time Costume Parties will be held on Friday, Oct. 30. Families may choose to attend at 10 or 11 a.m., and they are encouraged to wear costumes. Attendees will hear a story and then walk to a nearby Halloween display to trick-or-treat. The display is offered by a couple that participates in the Teal Pumpkin Project, which aims to offer allergen-free treats for trick-or-treaters who have food allergies.

Hands-on House will present Science of Senses on Oct. 8 at 6 p.m. Designed for students in kindergarten through second grade, the program will explore how people's senses interpret the world around them. The program will involve tasting jelly beans, so attendees should alert the presenters of any allergies.

Paws to Read will be held on Saturdays, Oct. 10 and 24, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Children may bring a book to read aloud to therapy dogs. Teens and adults may also read with the dogs.

The Lancaster County Department of Parks and Recreation will present a program about owls on Oct. 26 at 6 p.m. for children ages 8 to 15. After learning about owl adaptations and how to recognize local owls by sight and sound, participants will dissect owl pellets.
