Library Plans Activities

The Village Library of Morgantown, 207 N. Walnut St., has posted its upcoming programs. Additional information is available by calling 610-286-1022 or emailing smolibrary@gmail.com.

Weekly activities include Puzzles and Pals on Tuesdays from 1 to 2 p.m., for people of all ages; pinochle on Wednesdays from noon to 5 p.m., for seniors; tai chi on Thursdays from 9 to 10 a.m., for adults; and movie matinees on Fridays from 10 to 11:30 a.m., with the feature on Oct. 2 being "Experience the Wild: The Ultimate Safari."

The library will host story times on select dates from 10 to 11 a.m. "Squirrels Are Scurrying All Around" will be the theme on Thursday, Oct. 1. Miss Pam will lead story times on Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 7 and 8.

The library will host an arts and crafts activity on Oct. 1 from 4 to 5 p.m. The craft will be a beaded corn project. Space is limited to 12 participants, and registration is required. There is a fee, and people may pay in advance to guarantee their spot. To register, call the aforementioned number or visit the front desk at the library.

Ginny Thorpe will lead a jam session on Oct. 1 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. People of all ages and skill levels are welcome.

A Drawing Club will be available to elementary-age children and their families and friends on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. The drop-in program is self-guided, but all materials are provided.

A representative of Wellcare will be at the library on Tuesday, Oct. 6, from 1 to 2 p.m. to answer questions about Medicare Advantage plans. To preregister, call 267-202-1947. Walk-ins are also welcome.
